Jinx Chapter 17 Recap

Jinx Chapter 17 starts with a bit of backstory to show why Jaekyung had decided to come to Kim’s apartment. We saw in chapter sixteen that he wanted to cancel his appointment for a medical check-up because Kim Dan didn’t show up.

However, his coach told him that he needed to go now or he won’t have time later.

Jaekyung was annoyed about why he needed to go now and why he wasn’t free to do so later. His coach replied in the same annoyance and said that he was booked for the upcoming months. Jaekyung fumed his way to Kim’s apartment, wondering why he hadn’t shown up.

It ticked him even more when he was told that Kim had been looking at his health charts all night.

When he entered Kim’s apartment he was shocked for a moment but kept his poker face and asked Kim to come with him.

When the loan sharks were angry at his intrusion, he didn’t do anything. Since he is a professional athlete, he couldn’t do much in terms of retaliating. Luckily for him, the goons were more impatient than him.

Jinx Chapter 18 will start where it left off in the last chapter, Kim being in the trauma of being assaulted in his most intimate of places. It was a miracle that Jaekyung showed up in time to save him at a time when it mattered the most.

The two will be seen spending some time alone as Kim is shaken from the fight that has taken place at his apartment. Jaekyung was also nice enough to pay all of Kim’s debt for him. But the real hurdle starts now as Kim is in the worst place mentally. He can’t make heads or tails of what had taken place in the last few hours.

Kim’s mental rehabilitation will lead to another moment where he will come to wonder what Jaekyung is thinking. He had been hurt by him, used by him, embraced softly, and embraced again. He will make a temporary recovery and will push away the thoughts he has been having. And the two will then move towards examination or Jaekyung.
