What is Galentine’s Day?

Valentine’s Day Baking Tips
Give it some heart – It’s easy to get into the spirit of the day when you add some hearts to your bakes. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter for an easy, clean line or cut them out freehand. Perfect for mini tarts or as decorations on bigger pies.
Add a sprinkling of love – White, red and pink sprinkles are great for giving your sweet treats that extra bit of razzle dazzle. Edible glitter can also look fab. Or if you don’t have any extra in, why not cut out a heart shaped stencil from greaseproof paper and lightly dust with icing sugar?
Pipe on sweet nothings – If you have a special message for your other half or your best friend, fill up a piping bag and get to work. Add their name, your initials or any other message you’d like to share – then let them enjoy your sweet words as well as pastry goodies.

A pastry gift box – If your other half or best buddy has a sweet tooth, why not bake them a treat and present it in a pretty box lined with baking paper? Pop on a ribbon and a handwritten tag and you’ve created something shops don’t sell.

Gather the ingredients and write out a recipe so they know exactly what to do. You could even add something a little more extravagant, like a nice rolling pin or apron, to take it to another level.
