Just ok

Food was too expensive. Need cheaper alternatives. Also, the hotel was a little too far out of town for my liking. On the positive side, the room was very clean and comfortable.

Amazing stay!

Rooms/hotel by far the nicest we have stayed in. Views amazing! But what put this over the top was your staff. When checking in, we upgraded to Gold, the staff walk us up to our floor and gave us a tour. We were also given 2 canoes passes because it was our 20th wedding anniversary. On our last day we rented a canoe for the second time at 8:30am. The whole experience was perfect, lake was calm, mountains reflecting in the water. When we returned the canoe, the boathouse staff presented us with a hand written card for our anniversary. Brought tears to our eyes. Thank you thank you thank you for this wonderful stay and the memories we will cherish.

Brilliant stay

It was just beautiful a real dream. We only had one problem with Brewers coach missing us whilst we were waiting and then we were treated very badly bride brewers. We missed out on our horse and carriage ride and our day in Louisa because of them. Can I recommend Billy And I think the ladies name is Shina Beautiful Indian young girl in housekeeping. All of the staff were brilliant and beautiful to us. I would recommend this place to anybody.

Stunning Location

Minuses......VERY noisy room air-conditioning. Noisy external construction below hotel room window which went on after the 6pm cut off. No text or email notification when room was ready. Tired of waiting, so had to approach front desk to ask what was going on? Pluses....Complimentary drinks for lack of check in notification..Stunning location, lovely art deco vibe for the decoration. Friendly staff, well organized and slick bus service to Moraine Lake. Great food and drink particuarly in the Alpine Social.

Poor customer service from beginning to end , overpriced, hidden extras.

Our very first time at Lake Louise and as guests In your hotel, as this 2 night stay was part of our honeymoon. Upon arrival the receptionist checking us in failed to inform concierge of our luggage waiting to be brought to our room as promised, and hence we were kept waiting 2 hours, before I went to reception and Concierge to see our suitcases just sat there ! Concierge apologised profusely, saying it wasn’t their fault as they hadn’t been informed our luggage was to be brought to the room. I find this hard to believe, as surely common sense would dictate that a member of staff would question whose luggage it was, especially as it was sat there for so long. Second disappointment was the expensive parking fee of $55 to valet park our vehicle, upon arrival outside the property the valet asked us if we would like him to park the car, to which we replied yes. There was no mention of costs. $110 for 2 nights is extortionate as our car never moved until we left. Surely, it is reasonable and common place around the world in other hotels, we have stayed in, to expect a hotel of 5 * stature to include parking for its In house guests, when those guests have paid a high cost per night, especially a couple on honeymoon. Third complaint revolved around the two complimentary drinks vouchers we were given for the two hour delay with our luggage. We were explicitly told by the concierge the value was up to $35 per voucher but upon presenting them in the Lake View bar the waitress thought the maximum was $25 and then went to check as staff did not seem to know. My husband ordered a glass of draft lager Peroni, which was flat. The bar tender went to change the barrel and yet the Peroni came back the same, flat and watery. The staff seemed annoyed that we informed them about the Peroni and didn’t seem interested. The Alpine Social food and drink experience was good. The resort fee was taken from my husbands debit card, without prior notification. We had not been informed that there was a fee payable, or that we could go to the camp fire or have the many activities on offer to us. The lunch on the outdoor terrace was nice. However the server told us there were many things off the menu due to demand that day, however she then came back and said the full menu was back on again. It seemed to us, that you have a lot of young inexperienced staff that have not been fully briefed. It was a huge disappointment, as this was meant to be one of the highlights of our honeymoon, Instead we felt That we were let down by this 5* world renowned resort as it felt like every opportunity was made to add hidden costs, leaving us with a sense of feeling “ripped off” The hotel has lost its old fashioned elegance and classy edge, its decline is in the main, due to excessive numbers of tourists every day. Carpets were dirty and grit and mud. We were fully briefed on the Fairmonts construction work, however the noise did not commence at 8am as stated in all literature, but the works commenced at 06.45 and was very noisy. As we had a lake view room on the 8th floor closest the construction site.

Excellent location and services

The location -particularly waking up every morning with the view of Lake Louise- is unbeatable. And the services provided on the 7h floor were up to the most demanding standards! Great work!
