—IMP Headquarters—
“I can’t believe that he just sprung all this god-damned paperwork on us, what the actual f*ck.” Moxxie angrily spat, as he did the god-damned paperwork.
“Don’t worry Mox, we’ll get it done.” Reassured his wife, Millie.
Moxxie simply groaned in response. “Urghhh…”
“Let’s not forget that his idiocy might have Via’s dad cancel our entire business.” Loona spoke, while contributing absolutely nothing on her phone.
Moxxie’s head dropped onto the table, causing Millie to shoot an angry glare at the grey hellhound before patting her husband on the back.
“Blitzø’ll be fine Mox, we’ve met Stolas, he’s clearly too infatuated to give it up.” Millie attempted to reassure once again.
“Well, yeah, but like… Blitzø seemed really worried over this, especially with what Loona said about it. What happens if Stolas does call it quits?” Moxxie further vocalised his stresses, pulling his hair and grunting.
Millie smiles and kindly asserts, “Life’ll find a way honey, now come on, let’s finish that f*ckin’ paperwork, I’m sure it’ll go much faster with the three of us!”
“Hey, I never agreed to this!” Loona chimes in from the back at her help being offered.
Mille angrily scowls at her, still annoyed over her statement, causing her to sigh and come up with an excuse. “Yeah but, uhh I’m still hurt from those annoying cherubs.”
Mille sharply responds “I’m hurt too but I’m not being a bitch about’ it!”
Loona sighs, and the IMP gang do the paperwork for some time, that is until…
*BANG* The door flies wide open, the three of them all look up from the mound of paperwork, turning to see a very sweaty, distraught and emotional wreck of an imp burst through.
“Sir? What the f*ck happened?!” Moxxie says, noticing Blitzø’s current stressed condition. He looks like he’s on the verge of tears, and appears to have already broken.
“You good? You have the same look you did that night after Bee’s party.” Loona attempted to appear nonchalant in her concern for her dad, while in reality very worried as to what happened.
Millie’s eyes look around, seeing that her distraught boss arrived with just himself, not the mass of sex toys he bought that day, and more importantly, not the book. She stares just as distraught at the sight of her boss in such a state as the others.
Blitzø musters some words, stuttering throughout with a tone that screams total dismay. “The business will be fine…” He holds up the hand with the Asmodean crystal inserted inside, shocking the three other demons. He turns away and starts walking into his office looking like a racing horse that broke a leg.
“Wait, Sir, please, what happened.” Moxxie steps up and asks with genuine concern.
Blitzø shakes.
“Yeah, boss, what happened at Stolas’ place.” Millie asks, mirroring the other’s concern.
Blitzø tenses up, posture becoming irritated.
“Seriously, how’d you get that crystal and how come you came in here like this?” Loona asks with similar concerns as M&M.
“I f*ckED UP BAD THIS TIME OK?!” Screams the tall imp in an outrage. In a moment, he sobs; “It’s f*cking over, I ruined yet another f*cking relationship.”
His workers jump, startled, and share an unsure glance.
The room is silent; outside of Blitzø’s loud sobs.
After what felt like an epoch, Millie eventually starts speaking. “C’mon, Blitzø, I’m sure Stolas’ll stay with you.”
Blitzø immediately retorted with a pathetic attempt at anger. “No he won’t… he broke it off… *particularly loud sob* and then I ruined any chance I had at still being with him.”
The three exchanged troubled looks as Blitzø, who was barely standing at this point, continued to sob uncontrollably.
“Um… Boss, look…” Moxxie was troubled when trying to think of a way that this could be made better. “I’m sure it’s all a mistake. Just… um-“
Blitzø’s rage shows. “THE ENTIRE RELATIONSHIP WAS A f*ckING MISTAKE! I should’ve known from the start that there was no hope of anyone actually… caring…” At this point, the broken IMP drops to the floor and buries his face in his hands.
Loona loudly sighs and looks at Blitzø. “It’ll end up ok. Don’t worry… dad…” She places her hand on his shoulder. Millie and Moxxie soon follow.
They sit there in silence for a while, with sobs from Blitzø interspersed. Loona discreetly sends a message on her phone.
Eventually, the sobbing clears up and Blitzø looks up. He looks at the concerned, caring faces around him and speaks somewhat quickly. “He… he wanted to break off the deal, stuff about feelings and sh*t. Gave me the Asmodean Crystal and I… I don’t really know. I just…” Blitzø pauses for a moment, then returning to his troubled sentence. “I just reacted on instinct, and rationalised it as a roleplay. And then…” Blitzø stops, getting to the hardest part of the encounter.
“You don’t have to continue if you don’t want, Sir, we understand.” Moxxie speaks.
“I…” Blitzø stutters every word. “No, he left and… I think he assumed I didn’t… care… I went after him, I tried to make him give me a moment to think, after he spring such a big heap of bullsh*t onto me, and then I… made a… mistake…” Blitzø sobs again, reliving the horrible argument, and what he said.
The three imps and hellhound sat on the headquarter’s ground for a while. Blitzø unable to continue to speak about things, but the other three unable to think of how to help in any meaningful way. So they sat.
Blitzø, while unable to express it, felt thankful for their help in the moment. Maybe it would get better. Or maybe not.
Maybe he should take a break from everything with Stolas, he basically has too, really, what choice does he have.
Hey, he’s back on good terms with Fizz, that’s good, right? Maybe he can… mend… other relationships.
If he can make amends with a previous partner like Verosika… then… maybe he could do the same with Stolas.
It’s only a thought, for now.
